Dawn Studio exists because the profession is being sold a great deal of AI and handed very little of it. We think a practice should own tools that work, not rent promises that do not.
The hype is loud. The help is not.
Look at any practice software homepage right now and you will find AI on it somewhere. Some of that is real and useful. A lot of it is a chatbot, a summary button, or the same product at a higher price with a new badge on the front.
Meanwhile the work that actually fills your week goes untouched. Chasing a client for records for the fourth time. Getting someone onboarded, ID checked and engaged without losing an afternoon. Remembering which three clients have gone quiet. Nobody builds a launch campaign around any of that, because it does not demo well. It just quietly takes your evenings.
We would rather fix the boring things properly than sell you something clever that changes nothing.
Own your tools. Do not rent hype.
Most practices are renting. A subscription for the website, another for the CRM, another for the thing that was going to replace the CRM, and a licence fee that climbs every year whether or not the product got any better. Stop paying and you are left holding nothing.
We build the opposite of that. Websites written by hand that belong to you, rather than rented from a page builder that will still be charging you in five years. Automation shaped around how your firm already works, connected to the tools you already pay for. One fixed price agreed before anything starts, instead of a meter running quietly in the background.
It is also why we build our own software for the profession. Practix Control exists because we wanted a practice management tool made by people who had actually done the work, not something generic with an accountancy label stuck on it.
Two skills that rarely meet.
Dawn Studio was founded by a qualified accountant who has worked in practice. Alongside the accountancy there was always the other habit, building things. Writing code, taking software apart, working out why a tool that was meant to save time had somehow created more of it.
For a while those felt like two separate lives. They are not. Knowing where a practice loses its hours is one skill. Being able to build the thing that gets them back is a different one. They rarely sit in the same person, and that gap is the entire reason this studio exists.
Plenty of agencies can build a decent website. Very few of them know what AML actually involves, why January is not like any other month, or why just send us the records is a much harder sentence than it sounds. We are based in Manchester and work with practices across the North West and the rest of the UK.

No WordPress, no page builders, no template bloat. Every site is written properly, which is why they load in under a second, stay secure, and need almost no maintenance from you.

We scope the work on a free call and give you a single fixed price before anything starts. No hourly billing, no scope creep, no invoice at the end that is bigger than you expected.
You stay in control
Automation should remove admin, not take decisions away from you. Anything that matters comes to you for approval, and nothing goes to a client in your name unless you have said so.
Straight answers, including no
If SEO would not pay for itself in your market, we will say so. If your existing site is worth fixing rather than replacing, we will tell you that too. Plenty of our calls end that way.
