Every calculator we needed was half adverts, or wanted an email address before it would tell us anything. We got tired of it and built our own. No ads, no sign up, no pop up to close before you get an answer.

Dividend rates rose two percentage points on 6 April 2026, so a lot of calculators online are quietly running last year's numbers. This one uses the new rates and, because the allowance and bands are frozen, can show exactly how much more the rise costs you than the same dividends did last year.

Are these tools really free?
Yes. There is nothing to sign up for, no email required and no trial. They run in your browser and we do not store what you type into them.
How accurate are the tax calculators?
Every rate is checked against GOV.UK rather than carried over from last year, and the workings are tested against hand calculations across each tax band. They use rates for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and each page says so plainly.
Why does a web studio give away tax tools?
Because the ones we needed were miserable to use. Half the screen was adverts, and the answer often sat behind an email form. Dawn Studio was founded by a qualified accountant who has worked in practice, so we know that irritation first hand. Leaving these open costs us very little and saves someone else the same annoyance.
Will you start charging or asking for my email?
No. That is the whole reason these exist. They stay free and open, with no sign up and no adverts. If you want us to build something for your own firm that is a separate conversation, and you can start it whenever you like.
